a bump on a log

I have been really lazy this weekend. The house isn't tidy, my healthy eating is less healthy and my motivation is the only thing on vacation. I find myself daydreaming lately. Hoping for things that are uncertain. Fortunately, I have quite a few welcome distractions. Erika, Jon, Olivia and Mush (photo credit on today's post š) are always including us in their plans. Emily and Ethan (my niece and nephew), slept over on Friday night and we had great conversation, enjoying each otherās company. I made a NEW friend today at the pool, her name is Marla. She is hilarious, outgoing and easy to talk to. Even Zeus has been on his best behavior, super cute and cuddly. My only negative this weekend is a bug bite. Somehow, a bug (I hope it was a bug and NOT a spider) made its way into my sports bra and bit me under my right breast. There are two marks that started out as red bumps and then they became brown circles with a white center. Itās very strange but I'm not too worried, I know an RN š.
Making plans and having things to look forward to is exactly what's missing these days. My family calendar is full of question marks. I know I am not alone so I am grateful for this blog - my place to complain and vent. I feel better when I can put my thoughts on paper. I suggest it for anyone looking to try something new. COVID is the perfect excuse to do something different. Turn this historic time into a personal challenge. Listen to me... giving advice and encouragement when I'm lazier than a bump on a log š
