Breakfast For Dinner

I can proudly say that I am a creature of habit. I find my routine comforting. I enjoy traditions and I cherish all my happy memories. Bringing in more love and family wherever and whenever possible is the spice of life. That's why breakfast for dinner is so special now.
For the last two Thursday's we have met up with Jon and Erika to eat eggs, bacon, sausage, and french toast. It was a last minute decision, when we decided to have our friends over for dinner but I hadn't done a proper grocery shop. My options were pasta with chicken nuggets or bacon and eggs. I asked Jon what he thought about breakfast for dinner and his eyes lit up like Christmas morning. There was no turning back after that. Jon has finally found the 4th love of his life, Monte Cristo. It's a sandwich that Kevin introduced to Jon, commonly made with two pieces of french toast flanking ham and cheese. The Goff method has been dubbed the 'Monte Carlo' - partly because Jon forgot the name half-way through his meal and also because Jon has started piling ALL of the breakfast options, including the Maple Syrup, in-between the bread slices. The smiles and laughs we share when we are all together is my favorite part of Breakfast Thursday, a tradition I plan to continue. Even if we can't be together every week, it can still be in honor of our new friends/extended family.

It would be a sin to deny this man his Breakfast ☝🏽
