I'm baaaaccckkkkk

It's been two weeks since my last post and it feels like two months. So much has happened including, but not limited to, listing our condo, selling it in ONE DAY (shout out to our relator, Nicole Couilliard for being a total badass), selling my car, packing all of our personal belongings and trying to enjoy our son and his girlfriend's 'vacation' for the last 7 days. Josh and Marissa had their trip planned for months and when the flights were booked, we had all started discussing the fun we would have and the things we would do as a family. Unfortunately, plans don't always go the way you want them to (my new mantra these days). As soon as Josh and Marissa got here, we had to focus two days straight on completing final touches like baseboards, painting and hanging wall art as well as LOTS of cleaning to get the condo photos taken and home listed on MLS. We did slow things down, amidst all the craziness, to do a couple's painting night and a crab leg dinner. It was a great week but it went by like a flash. I think the month of June is going to be the same. So many things to wrap up with the business, and the crate to be packed and sent to Portugal with a maximum weight limit of 1800lbs which won't be easy with Kevin's tools and tool boxes 😬 Then there's the loading/packing of the U-Haul's for the trip back to Canada (17 hour drive split between two days). I was telling Kevin today that I feel like I'm just moving down the list, as soon as one stressful thing is taken care of, I start worrying about the next one 😅. Luckily, I am organized, its a trait that I never take for granted which is probably why so many people - friends, family, neighbors - trust me (except maybe my neighbor Patricia who was hoping I'd keep her plants alive while she was out of town - sorry Ms. Patricia 😳). On the business end of things, it's going to be difficult between vendors, suppliers, and customers, to say goodbye and I find it hard to imagine not being on the receiving end of the phone calls and emails. I'm going to definitely suffer a bit of separation anxiety. In the nature of being proactive, I decided to already pull away by separating my personal cell phone and the work cell phone - this was no easy feat! The Best Buy guy took pity on me and said he will transfer over everything to my new (to me) used unlocked iPhone while Josh and I grabbed some lunch. When we returned, two hours later, they said it was going to be another hour so we went home. Then I got the phone call (on Kevin's phone) within 10 minutes of walking in the door so I had to run back to Best Buy and I spent the rest of my Saturday night deleting my personal contacts from the work phone and the work contacts from my personal phone 🥴. It's all coming along, everything is falling into place, just as it should. Tomorrow is Memorial Day and we all know what that means.... Murph Challenge 2023! I think I forgot to mention that my friend Gloria and I were on the local news this past week (it was a busy week, ok?). Here's the link if you want to check out the interview... https://www.wmbfnews.com/video/2023/05/26/grand-strand-today-murph-challenge-2023/?fbclid=IwAR2SRJz-shqtVLW4aAcd90P04w_FinBulWRHu289oAdM-pltiKFP4eOY9Cc
