Last Full Day

Kevin and I talked about it recently and we both agree that two weeks at work, day in and day out of our regular routine, goes by like a flash. Two weeks in isolation, with no commitments or responsibilities, has felt like a lifetime. I am a little worried about the situation back home, not knowing what will happen next in South Carolina as the numbers keep climbing and anxiety increases. I don’t search the internet for COVID articles and I purposely don’t watch TV for the breaking news story. It’s too difficult to find the truth and I would prefer to live each day to the best of my ability - quarantine or not. (I am writing this post on my cell phone because Kevin’s laptop was not cooperating, so don’t be surprised if there are more spelling mistakes than usual.)

As much as Canada has our heart, our country of citizenship, and our birthplace; we have made a life in Myrtle Beach that surrounds our business, family and new friends. We want to be there, even if it seems more dangerous at the moment regarding this virus. Make no mistake, we miss our loved ones in Canada too and we plan to visit again; hopefully when a mandatory quarantine is no longer apart of the itinerary.

To My Wonderful In-Laws:

Thank you for letting us stay on the property

Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us (even if the bugs were the main reason I stayed indoors)

Thank you for feeding us delicious homemade meals

Thank you for putting up with our complaining

Thank you for my birthday present, my birthday dinner and my birthday coffee cake

Thank you for having epson salt and bubble bath readily available (you may need to refill these items before my next visit 😋)

If I have missed anything, THANK YOU for everything ❤️

We love you very much and in less than 24 hours we will be out of your hair 😘
