Scattered Mess - Melissa's Brain

Funny how all this writing stuff started. I wrote a post on Facebook about dying and who I would assign to carry on my Facebook Legacy. From that message, the people who read it (roughly 34, thank you very much), most of them said ‘you should write a book!’. Easier said than done – I sent the first few pages to a few writing agents just to see what they would say (I am super impatient). For the most part, my tone, my vision, my work is NOT what they are looking for. I am not surprised – I feel this is going to be more of a journal for my friends and family. If I had the time to take a writing class or the money to partner up with a legit writer than MAYBE I could see this going somewhere. My lack of flow and structure is intentional. If I write this from birth to present day than it will only be a factual story with less about my growth and transition into adulthood. I say this because I feel like I gain perspective with each passing day. This means that you will be reading my thoughts and feelings as they happen NOW with a dash of memories here and there for background. If I have to reorganize my thoughts to make more sense, than the art of my crazy will be lost in the process. Bear with me and share in the scattered mess that is Melissa’s Brain.
