Why Knot... Obsessed

Married At First Sight is a time-stealing, guilt-pleasing, all-consuming reality-based TV show on Netflix. I had heard about it and always thought it was a dumb concept but I was intrigued. It is my new sporting event. The newest episodes are with 4 couples from North Carolina. It is my football season; I have my favorite couples that I am rooting for and the Superbowl is around the corner. I know there are theatrics and some situations are turned around for the sake of suspense, but the actual conversations are the best part. Seeing the real talks between real people; the moments where they forget the cameras are rolling, that's the reason I can't go to bed without watching one more episode. The worst part about these shows is the finale, I get so attached to these characters that it feels like they are breaking up with ME 🥺. The experts add to the scenario, they have a vested interest in seeing their handy work succeed and ultimately find love. It makes sense to use a matchmaker, a professional that gathers information about individuals, all of their wants and needs. The dating world is scary. Kevin and I have had this conversation often, neither one of us would ever want to be single in the age of 'swipe right'. We are both so grateful for our path's crossing and it was all thanks to Marci, my old co-worker. She has an eye for this stuff, it’s her seventh sense (her sixth sense is her Bailey's Cake and Chorico Sandwiches). When my husband and I went on our first date, we both said we felt the connection that this was going somewhere. I didn't know how rare that was until now. Reality TV isn't really reality but I enjoy the entertainment factor as I sit in awe and gratitude for my wonderful life parter 🖤
